DDS Logistics : constant growth and recruitments on the horizon

In 5 years, DDS Logistics has multiplied its sales figure by 5. To continue this growth, this year the french leader in TMS plans to employ another ten people, equivalent to a 20% increase of its current workforce (60 employees) !

Objective achieved for DDS Logistics. The editor of software solutions for transport and international trade recorded a 20% increase in its sales figure between 2005 and 2006. A brilliant performance achieved through the multiplication of new contracts with key players in distribution. These new contracts include several projects for the international use of its solutions – in Europe, Asia, and Maghreb, principally – for which DDS Logistics plans to sign agreements with specialised integrators.

The Number 1 for TMS in France plans to strengthen its activities on three buoyant markets :

Retail: i.e. supermarkets and specialised shops; DDS Logistics clients already include Carrefour, the Mousquetaire Group, Leroy Merlin, etc.

Industry: DDS Logistics is already working with Arcelor-Mittal, Nexans, Total, etc.

Shipping agents, where partnerships have been signed with Gefco Overseas, Hepner Overseas, and recently TTR in the Reunion.

Olivier Schulman, Commercial Director at DDS Logistics, explains: “Retail and Industry are two “first equipment” markets that have reached maturity in terms of TMS. On the retail market, there is a major demand for management modules for international sourcing and import management, to optimise supply from low-cost countries and calculate the total cost on arrival at destination. The industrial sector is more exposed to “distribution” problems and turns to DDS Logistics solutions to organise the transport of its products from the factory to its clients. The shipping agent market, on the other hand, is more concerned with prospecting for renewal and is looking to optimise or change equipment that is at the end of its useful life.”
To accompany this growth, DDS Logistics is strengthening its teams. Three people have already joined the company in the last few weeks.

Two functional consultants:

Sebastien Deumier (34 years old), with 10 years of experience in transport and logistics, and Frederic Genin (33 years old), who was Project Leader for IT and logistics in the large-scale distribution sector.

An expert in .NET technology, Yves Nicol has developed .net applications in France and abroad (Ireland).

DDS Logistics plans to recruit another ten people: Sales engineers / business engineers, Consultants / project leaders, hotline advisers, and R&D developers. Anne Lasserre, Director of Customer Service, specifies: “DDS Logistics is looking to strengthen its commercial teams and customer service. It is essential to accompany the implementation of our projects with teams whose expertise combines on-the-job experience with knowledge of the problems encountered in our clients’ specific sectors of activity.”The workforce should grow from 60 (current staff) to a total of 70 people over the next few months. These new posts are primarily based in Paris.
